More about scanner art: I thought that it might ruin my scanner bed somehow. Also I wondered about backgrounds, say if you wanted to make a silk background or black one. Here is a link that addresses both questions:

After I wrote lemon slices on my blog's comment, it was only then I had second-thoughts about the glass. Good thinking, Mom!
I'm sending today some transparency paper to you. It will be interesting to see how well it does or doesn't work for doing you kitchen scan art.
