In The Middle of Things
Here I am in the middle of things. Notice that the inset picture is of my "feather" duster, that may give you a hint of where I am. But the feather duster is only the tip of the iceberg, there is a lot of mop, broom, bucket, and plain old elbow grease below the water line. I am getting into the Zen of it now and actually enjoying it. I'll be working outside after this and so will probably have this hiatus from my blog for awhile. But don't give up on me, please, because I will continue commenting and occasionally posting. Be back soon.

Bobbie in bloom, sprinkling fairy dust everywhere she goes! I vote you use this beautiful pic (or part of it) as your new profile.
We're here. I owe you an email (and I am not even zen cleaning!!). XXXXXX
LOL! You are very good doing your spring cleaning, and the feather duster surrounds you like a halo!
Courage pour ton nettoyage de printemps !
The zen of cleaning? If you're enjoying it then it's all that matters. Looking forward to your return. I love this mandala.
Oh, goodness, Bobbie, you are spring cleaning. You are one of those old fashioned women who roll up their sleeves and moves though the house like a white tornado. Mmm...I think I may have done something like it myself last year, but I think it was later in the season. Yes, I am sure that it was, because officially it is still winter and I really do wait for springtime.
Good luck scrubbing all the dirt. I am sure you will have hours of unmitigated fun. I'll wait for inspiration to hit. Then there will be no holding me back.
Cleaning in Texas and Canada is a euphomism for a long beer run. A two or three week drunken stuppor due to the overwhelming cold or because the Cowboys lost in the playoffs. I read about it in that wiki website.
See the bottle opener next to the mop?
Putting aside my strong need to for personal moderation, the Budweiser Mandala is quite stunning. Use of a flower vase to represent the hops in your brewsky is quite innovative and plays on the work of great artists who also beer binged- if I were sober myself I would rememember their names.
I wopuld start by cleaning in the TV room. Maybe you can get a little cleaning fridge. I will miss ya.
its too early for spring cleaning. get back to your computer where you belong...hahahahaha
Achoo! Excuse me. Cleaning allergies.
I've come to accept that the joyful cleaning gene skips a generation.
What a hoot for a mandala.
Hi Bobbie,
What a fun and clever way to show us what you are off to!!
Have fun and we will be here ...

Hi Bobbie, thank you for telling me all about your cats and their habits. I can tell you love them very much. Aren't they wonderful to have around? Nobody can tell me that cats don't have their own personalities! I am sure that you will know that as much as I do.
Ciao, xoxox...
Hi Bobbie, there is an award for you over at my place.
Lol Neda, Bobbie in bloom..sprinkling fairy dust everywhere! Oh I can just see it...feel free to flit over this way too:)
I shall look forward to more Bobbie originals and am glad to hear your still going to visit! You allways bring such warmth and wisdom with you:)
yay, we're on the same wavelenght! but we knew that already, hehe :D
Mmmmm, I thought I left you a comment, but I don't see it now. Just wanted to let you know that I like the idea of the mandala with you in the center. It's very hip!
Tee hee - that mandala is a HOOT - nice one Bobbie, cheery about chores.
You make me feel guilty about not doing my housework and about resenting it when I do it. I should enjoy and embrace it as you and Irene do - after all the interior environment deserves as much care as the garden and my soul! tee hee.
Come back soon though.
I'm at the airport with my swifter - just say the word....wait - "This blog does not allow anonymous comments."
Neda: I need to bloom, this house hasn't been cleaned, really cleaned for the last 10 years...nasty!
Bev: Thanks, I thought it suited me very well. hehe.
Deef: Thanks, I need courage while I clean. The dust bunnies are out to get me. Merci, j'ai besoin de courage tandis qu'I propre. Aucun dire ce que la force de lapins de la poussière !
Artful eye: Thanks for coming to my blog, I love reading yours and your art.
Irene: Yes, I am still one of those old fashioned women. You know the generation that burned our bras and thought we could do it all!
John: You are the funniest man, I think you have missed your calling. I am waiting at the airport having a beer but your flight must be delayed...
Debi: Yes we know I am a neat-freak. I can't help it but I always feel so much better when my world is nice and tidy.
Sue: I have sadly neglected the computer and do feel guilty, very, very.
Lisa: I have some big plans for the future and will be unveiling them after my hiatus..stay tuned. lol!
Diane: So glad you have dug your way out of the ice cave.
Enzie: Thank you for your comments. I like making mandalas as it gives me relaxed and soulful time.
Rima: At least someone has joind me in my quest. I was beginning to think I was the only one in the world battling these giant dust bunnies.
Frances: May as well enjoy, life is too short to be miserable and I have already spent too much time that way. I have squeezed in a few hours trimming shrubs and working outdoors on nice days so not all is a drudge. Today was beautiful 70 degree weather.
Thank you all for your comments and support. Now where did that dust bunny go?
Ah Bobbie - lovely - you've been outside as well - you're right about misery. My method of keeping cheerful over the years has been to ignore the chores - but to do it with a will is probably the best thing. If only we could do it once and then everything stayed just so for a month or more! LOL
Bobbie, come by my blog to pick up a little token of my affection :)
Hi Bobbie, Springcleaning never heard of it ;(
To clean the spirit now and than, that is ok. Beautiful imige with you shining in the middle
Hi Bobbie,
Nice mandala!
Cleaning is good, also for the mind and since you haven't done a springcleaning in some time it won't feel useless.
You just take your time.
Bobbie, take a break and head over to my blog for a little surprise for you!
HI Bobbie love that piece too funny with the duster. Thanks for your comments with about birdies. I try to respond as often as I can get to it. You've been a pal!
