Black and White

Black and White

I've always loved black and white combinations and this neat fabric reminds me of the bellbottoms I made and wore in the 60's. With my nice black sleeveless shell, don't you know I was cool?

This weeks
2 things are guess what? Black and White. Many possibilities. Have fun!

Anyone can join and the rules are simple. Take a photograph of each the two things any way you interpret. Do keep them family friendly and use only your own material. Post on your blog on Sunday, June 24th.

Oooo, a very interesting challenge. So many possibilities for interpretation.

I don't recall that particular outfit, but I'm sure you looked wonderful in it.

Nice choice of subject and fabric! I really like this design. I've been wanting to join in the challenge - you, Audrey and Debi have such fun photos - and this might be the thing to inspire me. I love how you put the two fabrics like a negative mirror image - that would be a nice piece to try and fiddle with on photoshop...

One hip chick, hey?

Black and White - I like that - reminds me of my mother asking me once if the movie I was going to see was in colour and when I looked at her strangely, she laughed and remembered her mother asking her if she was going to a talkie.

Wow!
I just looked at this again and clicked on the pic - what wonderful fabrics on that site - It is so hard to get fabrics here nowadays - I think sewing is out of fashion. I envy you all.

Frances, we too have a decrease in the number of fabric stores and in sewing in general. As more and more women are working there seems to be less and less interest in sewing. Other quick crafts flourish instead, 'cause you know we have to do something to feather our nest.

Hi Bobbie!

I just found your challenge at my cousin's web site, and posted my contribution. Thanks for a fun idea! I love that fabric, by the way. :)

Interesting, though, teenagers here are getting into making their own, but in general they are getting secondhand clothes from charity shops and altering them or mix and matching parts. It may bring sewing back.
The lovely lady in the nearest fabric shop tells me it's mainly because the fabrics cost more than cheap imported clothes... pity.
