Rima Is Grrrrreat and so am I

What a beautiful result with a minimum of effort:

  1. Open Image
  2. Rectangle Marquee
  3. Crop
  4. Colored Pencil

I am amazed at myself!

Definitely Grrrreat! Tony the Tiger has some good company!

I love what you did! I tried coloured pencils for my own version, but didn't like what I came up with. But you found your focus, you "saw" it so beautifully - and here it is! Try laying in a fine "canvas" or "sandstone" texture, just for fun, see if it works.
Isn't it exciting? we all saw different things in this inocuous image. Some people have been sending me theirs, and I've copied Frances's to "exhibit" on a whole page on my other website. Can I use yours too, please? Thanks for playing with us - more challenging stuff to come!

Very nice job! I'm getting more and more inspired to try my hand at this challenge.

Thank you both for your encouragement. Many years ago I was artistic, but over the years I have laid that aside and am only now dabbling again. It is fun for me, but hard to find the time right now as my hubby is confined to a wheel-chair for 6-8 weeks with a broken leg after an accident at work

Debi, Me too! I was so excited after these two exercises that I almost peed my pants.

Rima, Of course you may use the image and I am flattered that you see something of use in it.

Rima, I tried some of your suggestions and it is absolutely magic! I love the canvas and sandstone. Some of the other Texture options are good, but don't suit my taste for this image.

Can't wait for the next challenge..slow as I am I will get there. Now on to the 2 things photo challenge...maybe I'll fix it up a little with photoshop first :)

Once and always artistic! It's hard to find the time and energy when you don't do this for a living, I know, but it's more than a hobby, especially for you Bobbie - the little peeks you allow us of your work are always so satisfying, and I know for sure now where Debi inherited her amazing "eye" from.

Oops, sorry - I didn't mean it the way it came out. And, I don't do this for a living either... I also know how difficult times like these that you're going through can be. I sincerely hope all this will be just a distant memory very soon. Hugs :-)

Ah Rima, you are kindness in itself. Thanks for the encouragement.

Hi Bobbie,

I really love it! Great - of course you are still an artist! It is clear. You made artistic choices ... nice job. (not that I am the artistic choice police - any choices would have been fine!!!)

Thanks for posting on my blog. I hope you will consider checking out the blog I post on every day too. (www.dianeclancy.com/blog)

Beautiful!! I love it... I need to try and find time to try this. The need for an extra 3 hours is definitly needed. :)

Brilliant job Bobbie!
