Old Oak

This old oak was a ho-hum photo, but Photoshop (filter, pixelate, pointillize, fade pointillize) to turn it into to something wonderful, more like what I "saw". Funny, when I originally used pontillize I was disappointed, but now it seems perfect for this tree.

Man, you are getting so good at using Photoshop. I will have to have you teach me now. ha ha ha
Job well done, I really like the way it looks.

Oh, what you've done with it does give it that dappled woods look. Wonderful!

I'm pleasantly surprised to see a post by you and one in which you had time to play with Photoshop too. I hope DH is recovering from his surgery and is comfortable.

I'm starting to see that each photo has some treatment that seems better for it than others. Right now I'm not sure if I'll be able to recognize this beforehand. Hopefully it will become intuitive.

DH is doing much, much better today. He is ensconced in his recliner with his trusty remote at his side having had his fill of one of my reheated frozen "MacMuffins". Glad to be in his comfy womfy home.

I was going to say exactly what debi said about the dappled light effect of the sun coming through the trees. Great fun the Photoshop effects I would imagine. I wonder if you get a choice of effects like Old Oak in the moonlight, or even Old Oak in the rain! In England at the moment we would need to use that effect quite a lot to get any verisimilitude to our pictures.....

Bobbie, you're wonderful. Sorry to just realize that DH did need surgery after all - I didn't do a good job keeping up with your news, but I was thinking about you a lot. Life gets in the way of the things we want to do. If only we could get Photoshop to fix everything! Like this beautiful painting of an old oak tree - it takes a loving eye to see the possibilities, that's for sure, and that you have in spades. I'll finish like i started, Bobbie, you're wonderful.
