Kitty is also a big fan of trading. If she has something she shouldn't, she's usually willing to trade it for something else. Kitty is deliberate and does not engage in frivolous behavior, nor will she waste energy doing something that won't result in getting what she wants. She seizes opportunities to act, but sometimes hesitates to try new things.
Kitty was rescued from the now-defunct Coulston Foundation in New Mexico, where she was used to breed chimps for medical research. Her laboratory caretaker feared that once Kitty was too old to reproduce, she might be subjected to experimentation herself, so she worked to secure Kitty's transfer to a sanctuary. Now, Kitty's laboratory days are behind her forever -- but not all research chimps are so lucky.
Take the quiz and find out which chimp you are most like :)

I took the test and I was Kitty just like you, but I couldn't get her to fit in my side bar. Oh well...
I am most like Midge, who is childlike and curious, which fits me very well. We have been round monkey rescue sancturies like this (like Monkey World in Suffolk, England) where animals have been rescued and it is very moving to see them rehabilitated. They are very much like us, you can tell by the way they move and relate to each other.
Sorry, Monkey World, Dorset, rather. I was thinking of a different holiday! We enjoyed this very much and there was a programme about it on television so we could say 'We've been there!' whenever it was on. There were also chimps who had been kept as pets by misguided rich people, as well as the lab chimps. Some of them had been kept in sheds, as the people who had bought them found them too much.
Hi Bobbie,
I am most like Lulu - doesn't surprise me, because when I saw them, I said ... I am Lulu - I can see I look most like her .....
