Goldenrod And Why I Love Nature

The wild goldenrod is blooming now and it is one of my favorites. It is so lacy and free and it's yellowness appeals to me. I've included the source image here to satisfy your curiosity. One can never make a mandala without meditating on the soul of subject. This one has the essence of goldenrod stored in it's turns. I love seeing each season progress and the delights nature has in store. I never tire of nature, it renews me and invigorates me. And so I dedicate this mandala to Hala and wish for her the essence and health of the goldenrod's soul.

Bobbie that is beautiful - I love that you've given the original as well, I feel the same way, if we can see the source, somehow that adds to the spirit of the piece. Lovely to make it for Hala, hope that lively yellow cheers her up, poor lassie.

This is a lovely mandala. Nature has it's own patterns and symmetry, as in the feathery stem of the Goldenrod. However, you have taken this and made it a golden filigree circle, while still preserving the essense of the flower. This is an excellent way of preserving flowers for all time!

You truly are a wonderful person, Bobbie, and a very treasured friend. Thank you for the bottome of my heart on behalf of my niece.

I love your artwork - I noticed that you tweaked the image before working on the mandala. The effect is really interesting, and makes the image even more intricate, and unique. Love how you were able to marry these colours and come up with this whole image. Really, really nice.

I like your mandalas, Bobbie. They are so serene and peaceful to look at. It's a shame you can't look at them and comment at the same time. I find them very inspiring and imagine you working at them very patiently and quietly. Somehow that makes me feel good.
