Silk

This is something new I tried after reading Mandala, Journey to the Center, Baily Cunningham. I think the results have promise but the points are just a little heavy looking. Tell me what you think, honestly please. When I fell asleep last night I was dreaming mandalas and collages :)

I like this technique, I think it makes the depth of the image clearer and gives the look of a star. I think the points can look finer if you use a border on them in the first place. This is a vague memory, I think I did something like that in the days of kaleidoscopes.

It has the look of something laceworkers have been toiling over for weeks for a fine french lady, maybe even Marie Antionette herself! A great effect, very fine and detailed. By the way, I haven't forgotten the 'Two Things'and will be e-mailing you shortly.

Hi Bobbie,

First off - I LOVE it!! I think it gorgeous! I wonder if the borders were a deeper red if the points would look finer because then they would pop out less.

But I really really like this one!!

Wow, I really love this one. The red silk is perfect. Amazing what you have learned how to do in Photoshop. I am so impressed.

Nice! Very well made! It's really very lovely, gorgeous actually - It didn't load the first time, so I came back for it, and it jumped at me. I actually don't mind the points at all, when I first saw the whole image, I was reminded a little bit of a vintage, intricate quilt design - don't you think? Like some beautiful square someone stitched patiently and with love - honestly this is how I felt.
